Still waiting for machine shop work and reading up on all the discussion from old GReddy kits to the new GTX3071/76 setups. Well I'm going for max on our old TD05 kits. I"m sure there are some still people out there running that setup. Greg at SZ gave me a list of parts but did not mention new turbos. However, I recently found this post and for those of us who run pump gas ...it's disappointing. Only real difference is cams and stock head. I may consider the 200 mile round trip and fill up a ton of 5 gallon gas cans for e85. La-Z-Link Am I being stupid doing these mods and tuning the old TD05-16g setup? I had to hack off Ash's 2.5" intake pipe to fit. Labree Motorsports is currently making a custom 3" downpipe. I'm pretty sure this is the best of the best (street build) since people are still developing parts (thank you Ash, Mike Smith, BDE, etc). 2 JWT's Selin Translator (on order). full 2.5" AshSpec with Massives (finally installed) Robz 62mm TB's (on order) JWT 500+ cams (hydraulic lifters) +1mm Ferrea & porting (in machine shop now) 740cc Nismo fuel kit from SZ 3" SZ exhaust If this setup doesn't put out good numbers on pump gas, then its Garrett turbo time. NHRA rules are roll CAGE for <11.0 1/4 and would not want to go faster. Also, I would rather spend $5k on turbos than swap fuel every weekend. My kit came from ol' TwinTurboPete and I will not sell my Z for a Supra (yuck). Feel free to flame, call me an idiot, etc. User profile is up to date. Going for .060 squish band and 8-8.3:1 compression ratio. Pistons were 8.3, heads were shaved from warping and machinist is removing material around vales for porting.
